Was eBay's BillMeLater Acquisition A Huge Blunder?
I guess if the credit thing doesn't work out ebay can always raise the fees on the few sellers they have left!!

      Nissan: Serious About EV Leadership
Since our automakers can't get serious about anything but SUV's you know someone would step into the void. I can't wait till electric vehicles become affordable, probably 5 years from now.

Does the Auto Industry Deserve To Be Bailed Out?
I kinda got a laugh at the Representative who asked the CEO's how they got there. It's kinda like the Senators, Sec of State, Pres. and Vice Pres. flying around in planes paid by taxpayers when our government is trillions of dollars in debt!!

      eBay's Weakening Bid
I do still trade on eBay, but it seems that when I sell something I don't get to keep much of the money, what with all the fees, rising postage, etc.

General Motors: Time to Pull the Plug
I don't like the idea about GM bondholders having to take such a huge loss on their investment. After my losses in Lehman, I don't know if I can stand a loss in GM also. (Bought, by the way, when times were much better).

Our Biggest Infrastructure Need? Think Broadband
Sure wish they had a "Connect Indiana" program. Here I sit with houses all around me and 2 miles from a medium sized town and nothing but dialup. NO dsl, no wireless, no cable,.Nothing but the ultra-expensive Hughes Net satellite. I have friends that live in rural and smaller towns with 2 or 3 different choices. To make it worse, our dialup is only about 20k. Talk about waiting!!!

      GM: Bailout or Bankruptcy?
The Chevy Volt is one example of GM thinking. They make a nice (although probably too big) plug in electric car and then stick a 3 cylinder, turbocharged engine on it, no doubt to keep us all buying expensive parts and gas for the next ten years. Why not just throw the obsolete engine and battery charger away, saving the weight, and concentrate on more and better batteries so we can again buy a car that all Americans can afford and take us completely off middle east oil.

What I expect them to do is be honest with taxpayer funds that were intended to pull the banks from going under.

      Detroit is Hemorrhaging
I think by the time GM starts selling the Volt we will already be inundated with all kinds of electric vehicles. I see several web pages of electric models ready for sale now. Looks like they did it again!!

Chevy Volt: Can It Survive GM?
I think one step we might consider to help make the electric car viable would be the return of the 55 mph speed limit. I know most people like to drive 75 on the interstates, but that is not going to get us off foreign oil!! America can't live in the past and expect to make it to the future.

Bullish Energy Market Is Over, When Will it Begin Again?
Whatever happened to my PWE and HTE?? When I bought these I envisioned great things in the future and now four months into ownership, it looks like these will end up like the rest of the stocks I've bought. Might as well have gone out and bought a new car with the money. At least I'd have a nice ride.
